Liverpool v Man City: Who made your combined XI?

Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola
Liverpool and Manchester City shared the points in their 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium last November

We asked you to do the impossible - combine two of the best starting line-ups in European football.

With Premier League leaders Manchester City travelling to champions Liverpool on Sunday, you rose to the occasion and put together the best XI you could from these two stellar squads.

And the results were, to say the least, very intriguing.

Despite being ruled out of the match at Anfield with injuries, both Virgil van Dijk and Kevin de Bruyne made your XI, as did Sergio Aguero who continues to recover from coronavirus.

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson wasn't the most picked player in any one position but - with De Bruyne the most picked player in two midfield positions - he did have enough selections to edge out City's Phil Foden.

Overall, there are seven Liverpool players to City's four. Here's the final XI, as chosen by you:

You can still pick your XI but unfortunately your selections won't be counted towards the result - and don't forget to share your picks on social media using #bbcfootball.
