The Commissioner of State Election Commission (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar toddy shocked state Panchayat Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy.
He issued orders to the DGP of the state Gautam and Sawang and asked him to keep the minister under house arrest till February 21 of this month. It made it clear that the minister should not be allowed even to speak to media. It also made it clear that they had taken the decision to ensure free and fair conduct of the elections in the state. It said that the decision by the commission would help the people of the state to exercise their votes without any fears. On the other hand, almost all state cabinet ministers are targeting the commissioner and faulting all his decisions.
They are also lashing out heavily on the commissioner some times. Peddireddy is at the forefront in carrying out at the attack on the commissioner. Reddy warned that they would warn all the officers who are following the instructions of the commissioner in the black list till the last day of their government.
