Celebrated South African singer Sibongile Khumalo died at the age of 63. The news of the Soweto-born singer broke on 28 January.
According to a statement released by her family, Sibongile "succumbed to stroke-related complications," following a lengthy period of illness.
Known for her love of traditional South African music, jazz, and opera, Sibongile thrilled audiences from Roodepoort to the Royal Albert Hall in London.
A funeral honouring the late singer will take place at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg on Saturday after 8:00.
Attendance will be limited due to Covid-19 restrictions.
