Legislative council: Karnataka Cabinet decides to support JD-S candidate for chairman post

Bengaluru,Feb 5(UNI) Karnataka Cabinet on Friday decided to support JD-S candidate Basavaraja Horatti for the Legislative Council chairman post.
The decision was taken in the Cabinet meeting held in the morning under the chairmanship of Chief Minister B S Yeddiyurappa.
The cabinet also decided to extend the legislative council for three more days while the Assembly session concluded on Friday.
Elections for the post of chairman of legislative council will be held on Tuesday, February 9.Legislative council chairman Pratap Shetty resigned on Thursday.
