Two teenage girls have been reported missing after running away from a mental health facility in Layton on Wednesday night.
“We are desperately scared,” said Amber Mayo, whose 14-year old daughter, Autumn Mayo, is one of the missing girls. “We don’t know what to do.”
Autumn Mayo is 5 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds, according to her mother. Her hair is dyed blue. Mayo reportedly ran away with Eva Kosanovich-Ware, 15, who is 5-feet-6 and 120 pounds.
Both girls are originally from California and were in Utah for treatment, according to Amber Mayo. She said one of the girls has a history of suicidal ideation and is on antidepressants, but has now been without her medication for about 48 hours. Mayo said the girls don’t have money, phones or coats.

Lt. Travis Lyman of the Layton Police Department said police are looking for the girls. He said it appears to be a runaway situation. Lyman said the facility that the girls were at showed police the window they used to leave.
