Recently-listed WA ISP Pentanet now has more than 10,000 subscribers.

In its IPO prospectus ahead of its January 2021 ASX listing, Pentanet revealed that it had 8,386 active subscribers at the end of the first quarter of the current financial year.

That number has now increased to more than 10,000 subscribers.

Further growth is expected as Pentanet will soon begin the expansion of its metropolitan Perth fixed-wireless network.

"We have more than doubled our subscriber base to 10,000 in less than 12 months through leading network technology and a customer-centric service offering," said managing director Stephen Cornish.

"Our fixed-wireless network is already capable of faster downloads than typical NBN speeds in Perth and with the IPO funds just raised we are about to take the next step in technology, further elevating our offering in Perth."

Pentanet is keen to expand its own network as it is a higher margin business than reselling NBN services.

"I am looking forward to the additional higher speed product options we are looking to bring to market, and the fact that this new technology will add an increased level of scalability to our network delivery,” Cornish added.

Pentanet's wireless service is offered at prices ranging from $59 a month for 30/10Mbps and 100GB of peak-hours data to $129 a month for 120/30Mbps and unlimited data.
