The announcement that Jacob Zuma will not testify at the Zondo commission and the subsequent invitation from EFF leader to have tea with the former president has got some of News24's readers writing in.
Malema's tea with Zuma
On Wednesday, an agreement was struck on the Twitter platform that former president Jacob Zuma and EFF leader Julius Malema will meet for tea at Zuma's residence in Nkandla.
Mzwandile Masina, who is a staunch supporter of Zuma and a friend of Julius Malema, but also a critic of President Cyril Ramaphosa, will facilitate the meeting between the two leaders.
It is important to highlight that the policies of the EFF and the policies adopted at the ANC's Nasrec conference are almost similar, with the biggest adopted policy revolving around the land.
Zuma and Malema have been very vocal about expropriation of land without compensation.
Zuma issued a statement notifying the public that he will not be attending the Zondo commission going forward. The EFF issued their own statement which was sympathetic to former president Zuma, but viciously attacked those who are aligned to the Ramaphosa faction.
These are serious developments in the political arena and, once the meeting is over, lots of things will change. The motion of no confidence tabled by Africa Transformation Movement leader Vuyo Zungula will get support from the EFF and a few in the ANC.
Could this be Cyril Ramaphosa's downfall in politics? It is worth watching.

Zuma continues to live a charmed life
From the time of the farcical arms deal debacle, to his dismissal by then president Thabo Mbeki, to the exposure of his leech-like existence with Shabir Shaik... Jacob Zuma continues to live a charmed life right up to the present.
Zuma has a cult-like following which has been swallowed up by gullible voters following ample media exposure of Zuma's disgraceful disdain of the lives of the very people who support him unconditionally.
It’s such a pity that the first democratic government in South Africa should fall into the hands of the most deceitful and crooked ANC comrades... triumphantly led by Zuma.
It begs the question whether those who continue to tip-toe around Zuma aren’t still deeply embedded in the coffers of State Capture.
