Skillz Inc. (SKLZ) shares are higher on Thursday morning trade as the leading mobile games platform is teaming up with the National Football League to crowdsource a future mobile esport and to host a global game developer challenge.
Currently, shares are at $35.76, up 14.34 percent from the previous close of $31.27. For the 52-week period, the shares have traded in a range of $9.81 -$38.44 on average volume of 4,852,175.
The company noted that the game will be powered by its esports platform and will have joint marketing support from both the NFL and Skillz. The multi-year combination of the NFL brand and the Skillz platform will set the stage for the future of electronic sports competition.
