Adani group bags 3,000 MW solar power parks in Andhra Pradesh

Adani Renewable Energy Holding Twelve Limited, a firm owned by Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has bagged five solar power projects in the state.
The Adani group clinched five projects with a total capacity of 3000 megawatt. The state government has finalized the successful bidders after the reverse auction process completed on Wednesday.
However, the state government would award the contracts after clearing the pending cases in the High Court. Adani group emerged successful bidder for the solar parks to be set up in M Kambaladinne (Kadapa), Pendlimarri (Kadapa), Rudrasamudram (Prakasam), CS Puram (Prakasam) and Madibugga (Ananthapuram). Each solar park will have installed capacity of 600 megawatt.
The state government has decided to set up 10 solar power parks with a total capacity of 6400 megawatt to exclusively meet agriculture sector demand. The state government is planning to switch the entire free power supply to be provided to the agriculture sector to the solar power.
