The Proteas suffered an injury scare on the opening day of the second Test against Pakistan on Thursday, with spinner George Linde leaving the field to go for X-rays.

Linde took a blow to his bowling hand after Pakistan captain Babar Azam clobbered the ball straight back to the spinner.
Linde, who was bowling his third over for the day, showed visible pain and ran off the field with one ball to complete in his over. Slow left-armer Dean Elgar bowled the final ball to complete the over.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed after lunch that Linde "has been stitched up and is going to go for X-rays to check on the pinkie bone soon".
CSA added that the bio-bubble in Pakistan would not be "broken or compromised as the medical team is following the pre-arranged and agreed protocols".

The Proteas made one change to their line-up by bringing in pace-bowling all-rounder Wiaan Mulder for Lungi Ngidi, in a bid to strengthen their batting.
South Africa trail the two-match Test series 1-0.
