M Selvam appointed vice-chancellor of Bharathidasan University

Tamil Nadu governor Banwarilal Purohit hands over the appointing letter to M Selvam
CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu governor Banwarilal Purohit on Thursday appointed M Selvam as vice-chancellor of Bharathidasan University, Trichy. He will have a tenure of three years from the date of assuming office.
Selvam has 36 years of teaching experience and worked as professor and head in the department of international business and commerce, Alagappa University.
He has published 12 research articles in listed journals and presented papers in international and national conferences. He also guided 12 research scholars.
Selvam has expertise in assessment and accreditation of universities and his contribution in the internal quality assurance cell of Alagappa University and other universities enabling them to secure high scores in NAAC ratings.
Presently, he serves as the accreditation ambassador under the UGC's Paramarsh Scheme. He has also served as dean of research, dean of students affairs and dean of management in Alagappa University. He also functioned as a member of senate, syndicate, finance committees.
