Punjab forms CGM for smooth implementation of Mata Tripta Mahila Yojana

Chandigarh, Feb 4 (UNI) Punjab Government has constituted a 'Consultative Group of Ministers' (CGM) for the smooth and better implementation of "Mata Tripta Mahila Yojana" to empower women-headed households.
Apprising about the development here on Thursday, an official spokesperson said the state government has formed the 'Consultative Group of Ministers' under the chairpersonship of Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Aruna Chaudhary.
He said the group would comprise the Finance Minister, Local Government Minister, Rural Development and Panchayats Minister, Cooperation Minister, Education Minister, Technical Education Minister, Social Justice Empowerment and Minorities Minister, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary/Chief Minister as members, while Principal Secretary, Social Security, Women and Child Development would be the Member Secretary of the CGM.
The Spokesperson said the Punjab Government is committed to ensure protection of the rights of women-headed households and to provide equal opportunities to enable their full and effective participation and inclusion in society through several ongoing and new initiatives and programs.
