Another Fire breaks out at ONGC oil well in Upper Assam

Guwahati, Feb 4 (UNI) Reigniting fear, yet another major fire has broken out in an oil well of the Oil and Natural Gas Commission Limited (ONGC) at Bebejiya in Assam’s Golaghat district in Upper Assam.

According to reports, the fire broke out on Wednesday due to gas leakage in the oil well. There has been no report of any injuries or casualties. Police and ONGC officials rushed to the site of the incident.

The locals are worried about the fire which is yet to be doused

The villagers of the area have expressed fear that if the authorities fail to douse the fire on time, it might create a dangerous situation like that of Baghjan in the Tinsukia district.

It took several months to douse the fire at Baghjan.
