Filmmaker-writer Karan Razdan who is all set to direct an untitled film, has said that he will start shooting of the film from mid-February in Uttarakhand where the film's title and actors’ first look will be unveiled for the audience.
Karan Razdan was interacting with News Helpline at the song recording session of his upcoming film on Thursday in Mumbai.
Talking about his upcoming film, Razdan said, “For the lead role, we have Ashish Sharma, Sonarika Bhadoria and Ankit Raj in the film who have some really good work in the television industry. We are starting shooting of this film on 15th February and Uttarakhand’s chief minister Trivender Singh Rawat will be present at the Mahurat shoot of this film. On that day, we will announce the title and first look of actors in the film.”
Razdan’s film stars popular television actors Ashish Sharma, Sonarika Bhadoria and Ankit Raj in lead roles, talking about casting of the film, talking about casting process of the film, he said, “I took 200 to 300 actors audition for this film and in every screen test I have seen that actors have become so professional in today’s time. Even the self auditions which they send from their houses are so accurate. I realised that the growing existence of television and digital space have made these actors so professional. I have always written difficult roles in my films be it films like ‘Dilwale’ or ‘Diljale’ that’s why I decided to cast television actors in my film. Apart from lead actors of the film, we have Anup Jalota and Deepika Chikhalia in the film.”
Talking about the song recording session, Razdan said, “In my childhood, I used to hear a devotional song called ‘Om Jai Jagdish Hare’, so I always wanted to include this song in one of my films. We all are proud that we were born in this country and that thing will be celebrated in this film. We have roped in Anup Jalota to sing this song in the film, so today we have recorded the song along with him.”
The movie revolves around childhood friendship, love, religion and politics. It will be directed and produced by Karan Razdan.
