The Ministry of Waterpower on Wednesday launched an integrated portal for the government plan. The initiative aims to manage cattle and bio-wastes and increase farmers' income. The Govardhan Yojana is being adopted as a priority program under the second phase of Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen.
The Ministry of Water Power is implementing the Swachh Bharat Mission. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Animal Husbandry Minister Giriraj Singh, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Minister of State for Water Power Ratan Lal Kataria were also present in the program.
Pankaj Kumar, Secretary of the Ministry said that up to Rs. 50 lakh to each district for providing technical assistance in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, managing cattle and bio-wastes, improving environmental hygiene, and curbing the diseases caused by bacteria and other works. Gives financial support of Water power minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that this portal will also ensure transparency and social accountability.
