A detailed order will be issued regarding the scale, career advancement schemes, etc, recommended by the pay commission for all sectors, except in health sector, on the basis of the report of a committee convened by additional chief secretary (finance) R K Singh.
The commission had recommended the minimum salary of government employees as Rs 23,000 and the maximum as Rs 1,66,800. The revised dearness allowance will have a retrospective effect from July 1, 2019 and the allowances will be effective from March1, 2021. The cabinet decided to extend the validity of the PSC rank lists by six months. All rank lists that will expire between February 3 and August 2 this year will have a uniform expiry date of August 3.
