Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani are going to star in an ensemble film by Good Newwz helmer Raj Mehta alongside Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Prajakta Koli to name a few. Titled Jugg Jugg Jeeyo, the film's title has created a sense of excitement around the title and the cast. It's an interesting cast and Kiara and Varun are being paired together for a film for the first time. Hitherto, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani were seen in a special dance number in Kalank in 2019. Kiara had a small role in the film. Talking about their collaboration for Jugg Jugg Jeeyo, from the film's title it sounds a comedy one and given the cast, it feels like a family drama film. A source has revealed to Pinkvilla that Jugg Jugg Jeeyo will deal with marital issues. Yes, you read that right. "It’s a tale of two couples from different generations, entangled around the issues post marriage. The premise beautifully merges the generation gap, and puts out a unique point of about love, but with ample of humour," the source added. Raj Mehta had earlier worked on Good Newwz that starred Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh, Kiara and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead. It dealt with the issue between couples and brushed the subject of IVF. Though it features two couples, but Jugg Jugg Jeeyo doesn't have the same narrative, revealed the source. "Though the key characters of both the films are two couples, the treatment and the story is in a complete different space. Jug Jugg Jeeyo is more about families, and the bond a married son with his father and mother played Anil and Neetu," the source added. Talking about the film, Jugg Jugg Jeeyo went on floors in November last year. The crew and cast had to stall the shoot when Varun, Neetu and Raj tested positive for the novel coronavirus. They resumed shooting late in December and have completed a major chunk of the same. A final schedule remains.
