
NEW DELHI: Advertising volume on television grew 23% in the month of January 2021 in comparison to January 2020, according to data released by Broadcast Audience Research Council India (BARC).
"At an overall level there is uplift of 23% in Ad Volumes in January (Wk 1-4) 2021 Vs 2020; its highest in past 3 years," the report said.
The ad volumes in January 2021 grew 19% when compared to the same period in 2019.
While the growth in ad volumes is seen across genres kids' channels have witnessed jighest growth rate of 35% followed by music channels which have grown 31% and movies which have grown 28%, BARC India said.
The data excludes spots placed by association, social ads and cultural organisation, ads by NGOs and fillers, it added.
