THANE: Two unidentified miscreants allegedly smashed the glass door of BJP corporator Sanjay Waghule’s office at the crowded B-Cabin area in Thane on Wednesday evening. No one was injured in the incident, said the Naupada police.
According to the police, two masked men armed with wooden lathis came to the office of Waghule broke the glass door and damaged an adjoining glass panel. The attackers didn’t attempt to enter the office nor did they try to damage or steal anything from the premises. While Waghule was at the municipal headquarters at the time of the incident, his office boy was present nearby and before he could react, the men escaped.
“I am surprised as the attack came unannounced. I have no suspicion on anyone and did not even get any threats. I will however wait for the police investigations. Luckily, no one was harmed in the incident,” said Waghule.
Meanwhile, the police said they will analyse the CCTV footage of the spot and would be able to identify the attackers and know about their motive.
