Gurgaon: Dilapidated roads, defunct streetlights, unguarded colony, lack of maintenance and other infrastructural issues have left the residents of Sushant Lok-2 a harried lot. They alleged that the main arterial road connecting Hong Kong Bazaar in Sector 57 to Wazirabad tehsil has not been re-carpeted for more than seven years.
Rohit Madhusudan, a resident of G Block said, “No work has been done on the roads that are now filled with potholes. I have to change the suspension of my car every month as the stretch is no longer motorable. Drainage is also an issue here. Light rain leads to waterlogging in this area.”
The abysmal state of security is among the other concerns for the residents. They alleged that streetlights at most of the places are lying defunct and there are no security guards in the colony.
Meanwhile, Ajay Pandita, vice-president of Ansals Buildwell Ltd. (ABL), said, “Many residents have not paid their maintenance charges. We are maintaining the basic facility such as cleanliness, water supply, electricity and streetlights are being fixed regularly. Road work has stooped due to GRAP.”
