Deputy CM Ajit Pawar inaugurates anganwadi at Baramati

PUNE: As part of the CSR initiative of Sonalika Tractors, the company has built an anganwadi in Malegaon, Baramati, Pune district which will combat child hunger and malnutrition while offering basic child care facilities across villages in the area.


The anganwadi was inaugurated by deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar. A statement issued by Sonalika Tractors, said that childcare is an area of great concern in all developing countries and India is no different. Children in India lack access to basic amenities like nutritious food, healthcare and affection, thus require serious attention as well as efforts, especially in rural areas. Sonalika CSR is fully engaged in various initiatives that are aimed at introducing significant and sustainable changes in the society.

Speaking at the inauguration, Pawar said, “Building infrastructure is need of the hour and such initiatives will not only enhance much needed facilities in child care but also empower the nation. I am sure this Anganwadi will bring many positive changes in the lives of villagers around this area.”


Director of Sonalika CSR, Surbhi Mittal, said, “Malegaon will be acting as a model for offering best facilities when it comes to childcare, nutrition, non-formal pre-education, immunization, health check-up and referral services through this Anganwadi."
