CBSE denies receiving 'CTET paper leak' information

NEW DELHI: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has denied receiving any information that CTET question paper, which was successfully conducted on Sunday, January 31, 2021 was leaked on WhatsApp before the examination.
According to the media reports the CTET exam papers were leaked on WhatsApp 40 minutes prior to conducting the exams on Sunday January 31, 2021. Uttar Pradesh Police have registered a case and had arrested six people in this connection on February 2.
The CBSE has clarified that it did not receive any written information and investigation report related to the leak by the Agra Police so far. The Agra Police have flung to action two days after the examination. CBSE said it will take necessary decision in this regard only after getting the inquiry report from Agra Police.
The CBSE had conducted CTET examination on Sunday in which around 23 lakh candidates took part. The CTET was conducted in 135 cities across India at 3938 examination centers with the help of 146 city coordinators, 3938 center superintendents, 5900 observers, 789 CBSE employees / officers and 2.5 lakh inspectors.
A release issued by the Board said: The board is sensitive to the examinations in every way and is ready to maintain the dignity of the examination.
