India reports 11,039 fresh nCoV cases, 110 deaths

New Delhi, Feb 3 (UNI) India recorded 11,039 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the tally to 1,07,77,284, according to the Union Health Ministry data on Wednesday.

The country also recorded 14,225 discharges, while 110 people succumbed to the deadly virus, the Ministry data showed. Now, the death toll climbed to 1,54,596.

Of the total cases, 1,04,62,631 people have recovered and the active cases of the infection currently stand at 1,60,057.

Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that a total of 19,84,73,178 lakh samples have been tested so far for coronavirus. Out of this, 7,21,121 were tested on Tuesday.

The number of healthcare workers in the country who have received coronavirus vaccine shots as part of the nationwide immunisation drive reached 41,38,918, the Health Ministry added.
