Ind vs Eng – James Anderson can break Anil Kumble’s big record: England fast bowler James Anderson has aged like a fine wine. The 38-year-old, who is part of the England squad for the Test series against India, took six wickets in the first innings in the second Test against Sri Lanka. He will now be coming into the series with a record in reckoning.
England will play four-Test series, first two in Chennai and the second two in Ahmedabad. Anderson will be the spearhead for the Three Lions’ pace bowling along with Stuart Broad. Both bowlers are ready to bring a big challenge for the Indian batsmen.
Anderson has 606 wickets in 157 Tests so far. He is just 14 wickets behind Anil Kumble to become the only pacer in the top three of most Test wickets. Currently Sri Lanka legend Muttiah Muralitharan (800) and Shane Warne (708) are No.1 and 2 in the list.
Looking at his recent form, it seems he will break the record during the series between England and India which starts from February 5.
