Bhagyashree Jadhav to represent India in Faza World Para & Latex Grand Prix competition

Nanded, Feb 3 (UNI) Local girl Bhagyashree Jadhav will represent India in the Faza World Para and Latex Grand Prix competition 2021 to be held in Dubai from Feb 6.
She will participate in the shot put and javelin throw events in F34 category.

Born in an ordinary farming family at Honwadaj in Mukhed tehsil of the district, Bhagyashree overcame an adverse situation and won gold and bronze medals in the district, state and national-level Divyang Sports competitions.
She later won two bronze medals at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships held in China. She was the only disabled player from Maharashtra to participate in this tournament.
To realise the dream of competing in the Olympics and Asian Games, she continues to struggle despite suffering a serious shoulder injury. She works hard to overcome financial difficulties and reach the pinnacle of success.
Bhagyashree is confident of securing medals at the World Games.
Expressing her feelings, she thanked social organizations and social workers who supported her financially when the economic situation was very bad.
She also thanked superintendent of police Pramod Shewale and other police officials for permitting her to use the police parade ground for regular practice.
