Apple may launch a new device to track health, reveals job posting

Apple may be gearing up to launch a completely new health tracking device and the Cupertino-based tech giant is already looking for a project manager for the same. Apple’s Health Hardware group is hiring for a Senior Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to lead the design and development of Apple-branded Health Hardware products.
As per the job description, the candidate will have to “work with vendors to drive material to support engineering building”. Also, Apple may favour someone with Chinese language skills, as the device may be most likely made in China or any other nearby Asian country.
While at a glance this job listing may appear like any other, what makes it stand apart is the fact that the company is clearly talking about a new product. “Apple Health Hardware EPMs are responsible for building and communicating project definition, development milestones, project schedules, validation/FA/CA, and project status in the development of new products,” reads the job description.
Nothing much significant is known about this new device that Apple may be launching. Usually, Apple products take years to develop and the end result could be something else entirely.
As for educational qualifications, Apple wants someone with B.S. ME/EE/BME degree or equivalent in any engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of related mechanical background in computer, consumer electronics, or medical devices.
