MTN Nigeria, 9mobile plan to seek approval for full roaming agreement after trial

MTN Nigeria and 9Mobile plan to request regulatory permission for a roaming agreement, according to The Africa Report. 9Mobile CEO Alan Sinfield said a pilot roaming scheme in Ondo State, letting customers of each company switch to the network of the other where it has no coverage of its own, has run smoothly. The two companies are seeking permission from Nigerian regulatory agencies for a full roaming agreement, Africa Report said.
