Netflix has dropped a new trailer for its upcoming murder mystery, The Girl on the Train. Written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, the Girl on the Train will debut on Netflix on February 26.
The Girl on the Train is an official adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ bestselling book of the same name. The movie follows Meera, who is a lawyer with a dark past and broken marriage, suffering from short-term amnesia. To deal with her loneliness, she fixates on the perfect lives of a couple she sees in their home while traveling in a train. One day, she witnesses a ruthless crime and decides to unravel the mystery behind it. The movie stars Parineeti Chopra, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari, and Avinash Tiwary.
While talking about the movie, Dasgupta said, “The book enticed me tremendously, and I am excited to have the opportunity to bring this version of the story to screens around the world. This film has been a real ride of emotion and passion for me. I am happy that the trailer will drop on Netflix and everyone will see a glimpse of the world we have created.”
