Waheeda Rehman began her film career with a dance number in Telugu film Rojulu Maraayi (1955).

She made her Bollywood debut in the Guru Dutt production C.I.D (1956).

Waheeda went on to star in films like Pyaasa, Kaagaz Ke Phool, Chaudhvin Ka Chand, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, Guide, Ram Aur Shyam, Neel Kamal and Khamoshi, among others.

Waheeda Rehman ruled Bollywood in the 60s and 70s with her varied roles.

Waheeda Rehman kicked off her second innings with Om Jai Jagadish (2002). She followed it up with films like Water, Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara, 15 Park Avenue, Rang De Basanti, Delhi 6 and Vishwaroopam II.

Her movie The Song of Scorpions and Desert Dolphin are expected to release later this year.
