LUCKNOW: Lucknow University’s Subhash hostel inmates’ request for having geyser and newspaper facility in the hostel has been accepted by varsity officials during a ‘samwad’ held earlier this week.
As renovation work is going on in the Subhash hostel the inmates have been temporarily shifted to Lal Bahadur Shastri hostel. During the interaction, the hostel inmates said that the LBS hostel inmates on the first and the second floor get newspaper and geyser facility, while the Subhash hosteller shifted to the third-floor do not have such facilities. They requested the varsity to make available these facilities in Subhash hostel too. Their request was accepted by vice-chancellor Prof Alok Kumar Rai.
The university would continue to conduct such interactions in regular intervals. Under the set practice, six students of a hostel interact with university officials to share problems being faced by them.
The students can also have a discussion on academics with senior LU officials.
