Hyderabad: Woman kills two-year-old son in drunken condition

Police, after getting a call from Dial-100, registered a case under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC.
HYDERABAD: A two-year-old boy was murdered allegedly by his mother in Ramannaguda village in Chevella near Hyderabad in Telangana's Ranga Reddy district.
The incident took place on Tuesday after Parameshwari quarrelled with her father-in-law.
Chevella police said that Dhanush Kumar died after his mother allegedly throttled him to death.
They said, on Tuesday, after the victim's father, Shiva Kumar, went to Moinabad for work, she had a heated argument with her father-in-law, Venkataiah, over a petty issue.
"Venkataiah is a paralytic patient. Though he was advised not to smoke, he continued to smoke. She took objection to that following which a quarrel ensued," Chevella inspector Ch Balakrishna said.
By this time, she was already drunk.
After the quarrel, when she — along with Dhanush — was in another room, she killed the boy for unknown reasons.
Few hours later, when one of their relatives came to their house, Dhanush was found dead.
When the relative questioned Parameshwari, she claimed ignorance., but later confessed to killing her son after being cornered.

Parameshwari, who was taken into custody, is being questioned.
Five years ago, she got married to Shiva and they were blessed with two children, including their younger child who was murdered.
