Yavatmal district of Maharashtra has shown great carelessness during polio vaccination. Health workers drank 12 children with sanitizer instead of polio drop. Due to which the condition of the children worsened. In a hurry, the children were rushed to the district hospital. At the moment, all children are out of danger. Orders have been ordered to investigate the incident.
Major negligence during polio vaccination in Yavatmal district
This incident of negligence in polio vaccination occurred at Bhambora Primary Health Center in Ghantji Tehsil of Yavatmal district. Polio supplements were being given to children in the Kapasi Kopri area here. But children were given a sanitizer drink instead of polio.
The children started vomiting on Sunday night. During this period, four of the 12 children were rushed to Yavatmal District Hospital. While other children were treated at the Primary Health Center. District Magistrate M. Devendra has said that strict action will be taken against those responsible.
