Here is everything you need to know about RGRHCL and the housing scheme it comes out with

To provide the housing options to the socially and economically weaker sections (EWS) of the society in Karnataka, the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Limited (RGRHCL) was established in 2000, as a special purpose vehicle. The authority plays an effective role in the implementation of central and state housing schemes. Here is everything you need to know about RGRHCL and the housing scheme it comes out with.

RGRHCL: Roles and responsibilities

The authority is responsible for providing affordable housing options throughout Karnataka and promotes cost-effective building technologies in rural areas. For allotting homes to the underprivileged sections of the society, the authority creates a beneficiary list from the eligible households, approved by the local gram sabha. Those beneficiaries who wish to construct their own homes, get full assistance from the RGRHCL. The authority also helps such people through ‘Nirmithi Kendras’, for constructing modern concept homes using cost-effective technologies.
