Just a few days back news circulated that Takht, Karan Johar's magnum opus starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Anil And Alia Bhatt has been shelved. Now the director confirms it hasn't been shelved.
MUMBAI: The most awaited movie of all times is Karan Johar’s most ambitious project Takht featuring a star-studded cast which includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal Alia Bhatt Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. The rumors that the movie has been shelved due to a COVID-induced financial crunch, are untrue.
When the director was contacted he categorically stated, “Takht is not shelved. It’s just delayed.”
With shootings coming to a halt in 2020, Karan’s post-pandemic pending projects must be prioritized according to the work remaining on the individual films. Karan Johar’s Jugg Jugg Jiyo, starring Varun Dhawan Kiaran Advani, Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor, which was on the verge of completion has been completed on priority. This will be followed by the long-delayed Bhahmastra, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, and Vijay Deverakonda’s Hindi debut Liger
Once these projects are completed, Karan Johar will start work on Takht.
