Quick on the heels of the massive success of Fukrey Returns (Fukrey 2), the makers announced their decision to make a third part of the now-loved comedy franchise. However, post the announcement, not much has come in way of any new developments, including when the movie would take off and probably release. We did exclusively learn from Pulkit Samrat and Ali Fazal that the script of 3 is locked and loaded, with the former even revealing that the shoot is expected to begin soon, but nothing concrete was revealed other than that. BollywoodLife has exclusively come to know from sources close to the project that the Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, Richa Chadha, Majot Singh and Pankaj Tripathi starrer is expected to begin in April, which would coincide with the dates of the massive ensemble cast, with both Varun and Pulkit expected to complete the shoots of Cirkus and Suswagatam Khushaamadeed resepctively by then while Ali should also be done with whatever Hollywood schedules he has till that time. The other cast members are also expected to have their calendar clear by April 2021. Our source further reveals that if the shoot goes according to plan and if the dates work out, keeping in mind other releases that the film wouldn't ideally look to clash with, then Fukrey 3 should hit screens by the end of the year. If certain schedules and other modalities fail to work out, there's no need to fret as at the latest, the third installment of the Fukrey franchise should release in January 2022. And the best news is that both Director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba and the producers (Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani from Excel Entertainment) are keen to get it in cinema halls, with an OTT release as far away from their mind as possible.
