MUMBAI: Actor Puneett Chouksey, who was last seen in the show Naati Pinky Ki Lambi Love Story, has recently made an entry in the show Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. The actor, who will be having a parallel track opposite actress Jigyasa Singh, who plays a eunuch in the show, says he is getting to know about the community more. “The best part about doing this show is that I am getting to interact and meet eunuchs on the sets.

Generally, as a society, we don’t make the community members inclusive. We have also maintained a distance from them and I am no exception. But thankfully this show is giving me an opportunity to learn about them. It's just been a few days of shooting and my mind has already changed a lot.

Every time I go on to the set, I look for an opportunity to sit and interact with them,” says Puneett. Co-incidentally, like his last show Naati Pinky... Puneett plays a father in this show too. Ask him if he is not worried about getting typecast in a father’s role at the start of his career and he says, “I am not! Yes, it is a funny coincidence that just like my previous show even in this show I an a widower and I am playing a father. While the child was grown up in the last show, here the kid is very small. But I am not all worried about being slotted. I know how to break the image as an actor.”

When asked about his lockdown days, Puneett shared, “My lockdown days were really peaceful as just before the lockdown I had had a breakup. So I was actually living peacefully with no stress (laughs out loud). But yes, I have moved on now and I am ready to fall in love again.”

Well, the actor has been winning quite a lot of hearts with his intense performance in the show and it will be interesting to see how his character unfurls in the future.
