
Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 305.30 points up at 14586.50 on Tuesday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Bajaj Auto, Ambuja Cements, Adani Enterprises, Bosch, Cummins India, Siemens, Grasim Industries, ICICI Bank, ITC, Kirloskar Industries, Larsen & Toubro and Tata Motors.
Overall, 40 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 10 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Motors, UltraTech Cement, HDFC Bank, HDFC and Grasim Inds. were among top gainers, while HDFC Life, Bajaj Finserv, Hero MotoCorp, RIL and IndusInd Bank were trading in red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 1023.97 points up at 49624.58. Traders were seen piling up position in Auto, Construction, Cement, Agro Processing and Apparels sectors, while selling were visible in Airlines, Aquaculture, Glass, Financial Services and FMCG sectors.
