Billie Eilish has set a new record as the first solo artist to achieve four number one songs on Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart, the publication reports.

With her single, Therefore I Am, being the latest to take the top spot on the chart, Billie beats out Beck and Alanis Morissette who have each had three tracks peak at number one.

The new record also makes her the first woman, or band with female vocals, to achieve four top tunes on the Alternative Airplay chart.

Billie's other tracks which have rocketed to the top of the chart are Bury a Friend, Bad Guy and Everything I Wanted.

The singer is also getting ready to release her second studio album, recently telling Vanity Fair in an interview that her new music "feels exactly how I want it to".

"There isn't one song, or one part of one song, that I wish was this or that I wish was that," she added.
