International Symposium on combating COVID-19 concludes

The 3-day International Symposium on combating COVID-19 ethnopharmacology and Traditional Food & Medicine and 7th convention of Society for Ethnopharmacology, India was concluded today with a plenary lecture and oral presentation.

The 3-day event was organised by IBSD, Imphal in association with Society for Ethnopharmacology and International Society for Ethnopharmacology. The virtual event was inaugurated by Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha on December 17, 2020.

The plenary lecture was begun with a welcome note by Prof. Pulok Kumar Mukherjee, Director, IBSD, Imphal on the topic “Developing bioresourecs of NER – Ethnopharmacological perspectives”.

on Natural Phytochemicals are Mother Nature’s Weapon Against Diseases.

50 scientists and research scholars delivered their oral presentations during two sessions of oral presentation. The 3-day virtual event was concluded with a valedictory programme.

It may be mentioned that a total of 56 speakers from 18 countries including India were attended the event with 516 delegates from different parts of the country and abroad.
