  • The ASX gained 1.5%, or 99.6 points, to close at 6762.6. It was the strongest session in four weeks. Info tech and industrials outperformed, healthcare dragged
  • US futures were pointing to more gains on Wall Street tonight, with the Dow E-mini up 0.5%, the S&P E-mini up 0.5%, and the Nasdaq E-mini 0.7% higher at 4pm AEDT
  • Shares in Tabcorp closed 8.8% higher after management confirmed it might sell the underperforming wagering business
  • The RBA held rates at a record low 0.1% at its first meeting of the year. It will also embark on another $100 billion round of quantitative easing after April. The Aussie dollar fell from 76.60 US cents to 76.35 US cents in the wake of the decision
