Amit Gupta, Managing Director for Httpool India, has more than 15 years of experience in the Digital space, starting from e-commerce to advertising. Having spent many years in digital has helped him see the evolution of India’s growth story. After working with companies like Rediff, UTV, and Ibibo, he saw immediate potential in the ad space market and, along with a friend, co-founded Httpool Digital in India. Starting with a small capital and a two-member team to a strong 40 member team in 2020, Httpool India is now amongst the top digital ad selling companies in India.
In this exclusive piece, Gupta writes about how the pandemic impacted the digital industry, how his team and he ‘held fort’, about his plans for 2021, and much more. Read on.
Work-life has always been a roller coaster journey, ever since we opened Httpool back in 2010. And such a quick pace and creative environment taught us how to sail through tough times. And this came in useful during the pandemic.
I attribute the constant growth of Httpool to being more tactical than pre-planned. This was also primarily due to the fact that the digital industry has seen dynamic changes, and the shelf life of offers is shortening every day.
People have always been core to any organization’s
uccess, and we have been lucky to have the right team in place. Our people have constantly put in their best energies for optimized results. We practice the “client first” approach in all our relationships, and every one of our team members held their fort and came out of the pandemic stronger

Team spirit and enthusiasm
Defying the pandemic’s odds and our expectations, we
had added 60% new clients to our portfolio in 2020. We are incredibly excited to nurture and grow with them during
the coming year. We are also continually partnering with
new platforms to bring our clients in India the best and
latest solutions, based on our strong partnerships
across the globe: Amit Gupta
Knowledge- and experience-sharing
The importance of sharing experience within teams was better realized during the pandemic, partly because we had more time on our hands. Being a sales-based organization, it was vital that team members shared their way of handling different client queries and achieving successful closures to empower their peers. With the constant exchange of knowledge and information, our team evolved to become stronger.
Looking towards a bright future

2020 was indeed a year that tested us all. But it was also a year that helped us lay a stronger foundation for the coming years.
