In the budget presented for the year 2021-22, the health sector will be allocated Rs 2.38 lakh crore. Sitharaman has also made several announcements in the field of education in the budget.
She announced that 100 new Sainik Schools would be built, with the help of NGOs, state governments, and the private sector.
During this time, she has also announced to set up a Central University in Leh, Ladakh. During the budget, Sitharaman has also announced in the railway sector. She has allocated a record amount of Rs 1,10,055 crore for the Railways in the budget.
