New Delhi, Feb 1 (UNI) Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday said that over 2.33 lakh crore will be outlaid for the health sector.
While presenting the Budget for the financial year 2021-22, the Finance Minister also said that India has two COVID-19 vaccines and two more will be launched. She informed that Rs 35,000 cr will be spent on COVID vaccines.
Ms Sitharaman said that a new centrally sponsored scheme PM Aatmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana will be launched with an outlay of Rs 64,180 crore over 6 years to develop capacities of health care systems, develop institutions for detection and cure of new and emerging disease.
