Prime Minister approves Rs 2 lakh solatium for Koraput road accident victims

Bhubaneswar, Feb 1 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday approved an ex-gratia of Rs two lakh each from Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to the next of kin of those who have lost their lives in a road accident in Koraput.

He has also approved an amount of Rs 50,000 for those seriously injured.

Prime Minister's office tweeted, 'An ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from Prime Minister's National relief Fund would be given to the next of the kin of those who have lost their lives due to the unfortunate road accident in Koraput, Odisha. Rs 50,000 would be given to those seriously injured.'

As many as nine people died and 13 injured in a road accident on NH326 near Murtahandi under Kotpad Police station of Koraput district last night.

Kohima, Feb 1 (UNI) Nagaland on Monday detected five new COVID-19 cases, taking total number of positive cases in the state to 12099

Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister Pangnyu Phom in his regular tweet informed that five new COVID-19 positive cases were detected and they are four new cases in Kohima and one case in Tuensang. He also informed that four COVID-19 positive patients were recovered and they are two patients from Kohima and two patients from Tuensang.
