Respawn has released the full patch notes for Apex Legends Season 8: Mayhem, which starts tomorrow. The new season introduces new playable character Fuse, the 30-30 Repeater assault rifle, and map changes to Kings Canyon.

All things considered, Season 8 doesn't make nearly as many game-changing adjustments as the past few seasons have. But Apex Legends just had a transformative second year.

Of note, however, is an additional change to Wraith. Her hitbox has been slightly adjusted, with her upper torso, waist, thighs, and shins becoming slightly wider to better reflect the overall shape of her body. It should make her ever so slightly easier to hit, a welcome nerf in comparison to simply weakening her abilities again.

Both Rampart and Horizon see adjustments too--the former's tactical and ultimate abilities will be buffed in hopes of upping her incredibly low pick rate, while the latter's tactical will have a longer cooldown in hopes of curbing her continued dominance in the game.

In terms of weapon attachments, the gold barrel stabilizer is being removed in Season 8. In its place, gold extended magazines are being added to the game--these legendary mags will auto reload your weapon if you keep it holstered for a few seconds. Additionally, the Double Tap hop-up is being removed from general loot, and the Anvil Receiver (first added in Season 3 before getting removed at the start of Season 5) is coming back in its place.

The full list of changes are listed below.

Kings Canyon Map Update

Season 8 once again sees changes to Kings Canyon. The main new point of interest shows the devastation from the ship crashing into the map. Players can now explore beyond Artillery, Spotted Lakes takes over the Slums and some new observation towers for basic recon or a sniper’s nest. Read more on the map changes in the map blog here.

Legendary Magazines

Season 8 introduces the Gold-tier magazines. Attaching it to a weapon automatically reloads your stowed weapons after a brief delay. The Gold magazine has the same capacity as Purple mags, and is available for Light, Heavy, Snipers, and Energy Weapons.
