Victoria has recorded its 26th day in a row without any community transmission of coronavirus. There was one case found in hotel quarantine, in an international arrival.

There are now 21 active cases in the state, all of them in hotel quarantine.

The results come from more than 10,000 tests on Sunday.

On Sunday, Perth and two regions of Western Australia were placed in a five-day lockdown after a hotel quarantine worker tested positive to COVID-19.

The case caused other states, including Victoria, to impose travel restrictions.

Federal politicians, believed to include Attorney-General Christian Porter and Defence Minister Linda Reynolds, who flew into Canberra from Perth on Sunday, have been told to stay away from Parliament until further notice, upsetting the first parliamentary sitting day for the year.
