German telecom regulator sees consumer arbitration cases increase in 2020

The German Federal Network Agency said that its consumer arbitration body processed 1,844 requests for arbitration from customers of telecommunications companies in 2020, up from 1,605 in the prior year. Only in 293 cases did the parties refuse to participate in the arbitration procedure without offering a solution to the dispute. The parties reached an agreement in 687 disputes.
