Ukhrul, January 31 2021: Troops of Ukhrul Sector, Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(South) provided assistance to Nungbi village in Ukhrul district of Manipur on 30 January.

The event was aimed to help the villagers on the occasion of Luirei Phanit, the seed sowing festival and to promote local arts and craft of black pottery.

During the event, food items and chocolates were distributed to the villagers.

The village Headman along with Sasa, a national awardee for the works in the field of black pottery and the residents of Nungbi village expressed their gratitude towards Assam Rifles for the information and assistance provided.
