Brazil's Ministry of Communications introduced guidelines for the upcoming 5G spectrum, including expected obligations for the winning bidders in the 700 MHz, 2.3 GHz, 3.5 GHz and 26 GHz bands. The ordinance orders the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) to include rules for sharing active and passive infrastructure, commitments on serving locations with more than 600 inhabitants throughout Brazil with 4G or higher technology and the arrival of fibre to cities not currently served. In addition, it forces operators to accept roaming in all cities.
