Budget 2021: AAI Airports In Tier-2,3 cities to be Monetised, FM

|

The government aims to introduce the next batch of airports for privatization in the foreseeable term, which will further monetise these commodities for governance and services. AAI airports are to be monetised in tier-2.3 cities, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated on February 1. The match is going to be between the Adani Group, GMR and GVK. It's a chance for Adani to be the largest manager of airports. But upon establishing in movement the act of getting control of Mumbai International Airport Limited (MAIL) in September last year, in less than two years, Gautam Adani experienced a notable jump from a newcomer to being the country's second-largest airport operator.

The billionaire-entrepreneur has also awarded concession arrangements for six other airports, including Jaipur, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Mangaluru, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, and Mumbai. Eventually, in the year, the AAI implemented that Amritsar, Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, Indore, Raipur and Trichy airports will be privatized. AAI Chairman Arvind Singh replied the next meeting of privatization of airports will also start in the first quarter of 2021. Over 100 airports in the nation are managed by the AAI. The privatization of these airports is an essential component of attempts by the government to enhance national communication links.
